Aesop's Foolish Dog & Where My Gain Lies
"A dog was crossing a plank bridge over a stream with a piece of meat in his mouth, when he happened to see his own reflection in the water. He thought it was another dog with a piece of meat twice as big; so he let go his own, and flew at the other dog to get the other piece. But, of course, all that happened was that he got neither; for one was only a reflection, and the other was carried away by the current."

I've been waiting for a word of wisdom from you!
SARAH!!!
My friend Ashley are doing a Bible study on this.
Thank you!
JENNY!!! So, you're using Aesop's Fables AND the Bible?? My, what an interesting study... fascinating, really. :)
So,what exactly are you studying, Jen? Contentment? Just curious.
Amber-- It has been a while since I blogged. And this blog didn't have anything original in it. But,I still like it! I just recently picked up a copy of Aesop's Fables and enjoyed reading through some of them.
Contentment and stress. And how we stress because of not being content...that's the long and short of it ;)
Sarah...imagine my surprise that there was actually an update on your blog. I was all set to be let down once again as I waited for your "World Diabetes Day" title to show. But, alas, I have reason to smile again. There is a new post. Hooray for Aesop's Fables for inspiring a tidbit of information from Sarah. Trevor is also reading fables as it is on the third grade requirements for literature. It's good to know that he is in good company reading and laughing at the talking animals. The lessons are always good ones. Hooray Sarah!!!!
Jen-- what book are you using (along with the Scripture) for your study?
Chris K.--- I hope you're not showing your bigotry towards diabetics in proclaiming you were sick of my World Diabetes Day blog entry; I shall be SEVERELY disappointed in you. So,I'm reading fables right along w/ the Trev-man?? I don't know what to say about that....
Sarah G.! You blogged! I hadn't checked in a while. I'm cool with diabetics and all, but once you've read it, you've read it :)
We read some of Aesop's fables to the kids and they are great lessons. I think if they didn't look for the funny, they might even learn something. LOVE YOU!
